Healthy & Delicious Turkey Burger Delite

Having a turkey burger once a week can really jazz up your clean eating diet routine. The problem is store bought or restaurant turkey burgers are loaded with fillers and fat. If you live in a NY minute, here is a quick and easy home made recipe, to have all the taste without the guilt! INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup high ptotein cereal flakes (Special K Protein Plus or Kashi Go Lean)
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 low sodium chicken or beef bouillon cube
  • 3 tablespoon of minced onion
  • PREPARATION

  • Combine cereal, skim milk, chicken or beef  bouillon, onion and egg whites in a bowl
  • Let stand about 5 minutes so cereal flakes get mushy
  • Add turkey and mix well with hands
  • Make into patties (about 6)
  • Grill or bake @ 350 degrees
  • Use Smart BagelsEzekiel Buns or whole grain buns (or no buns at all!!)
