Getting results out of your training and diet can be one of the most frustrating things around. As a personal trainer for many years in NYC, I can guarantee that a person can train and diet and still not achieve goals, often this person will blame outside factors for this failure. There is something that separates humans from animals and it is not the ability to walk erect. The separation lies within our ability to make decisions using higher conscious thoughts.
Many people make choices using animal instincts, but this is not always the best way to a healthy and fit life. It is much easier to choose a doughnut than a bowl of oatmeal as an example. A human being must use their higher conscious thought to make the healthy and fit decision, this will result in a higher quality of life.
The first step toward results is choosing a goal. In a previous blog post I went into detail on how to do this. Once you choose your goal you must use “The Right Tool for The Job” to achieve your goal. You are now on the way to a healthy and fit life with higher quality.
Stop making excuses and start making decisions
The hard part has begun, now you must make the choices health or death. The decision are between the two, you can either be healthy or your unfit life will result in death. I make the choice this blunt to illustrate the dangers of not using higher conscious thought to make healthy and fit decisions.
It is easy to make excuses and remain stagnant in the realization of your goals, you know it is because you have done this so many times before. Make the right choice and eventually it will become a habit. Once it becomes a habit it will then become routine. Once it becomes routine you will miss it when you don’t make the right choice. So I get used to it and you will get closer to achieving your goals. Stop making excuses and start making decisions.
